Rotten Romance at HDH

Helloooooooooo folks!

Hope you are all well and crafting merrily??

This week sees the start of our second challenge of this year over at HDH. We've gone all romantic on ya seeing as it will soon be Valentine's Day (bleaaagh!) hee-hee!

And guess what?
I am sponsoring this time round with my new dedicated DARK SIDE SHOP

I still have all my normal images in the mainstream shop Delicious Doodles, and all the dark stuff will still go there as well. But I decided to open a dedicated store with all my dark images in one place for those who don't want to trawl through all the fluffy stuff, lol.

I have also come up with a new image especially for this occasion in the shape of a wee 'not-so-cute' Cupid

I also whipped up some new papers to go with what I wanted to make.
These are named:

So I had better show you the make I created for this new theme at HDH

 'Rotten Romance'.
We have all at one point or another suffered for our love,
and what better place to share your darker feeling than with us.

Here we go with some photos then peeps.

I used the black version of the papers for my make.

Coloured with the usual watercolour pencils. Printed out several times for layering up with foam pads, and framed with a spellbinders die. I added lots of wee red gems for some bling.

Grotesque Cupid was printed out in a brownish colour generated on the compy. Wanted him to look a bit vintage, but not black. I also added a bit of some trim I got a while ago, which has lovely big black organza roses on it, and goldy-green ribbon folded to look like leaves. Got this off ebay.

Above is a close up of the image used. You can see the fussy cutting I did there for the layers.

So that's me for today then folks!
Hope you can join in with some of your darker, romantic makes!

A Gruesome Gathering

Hiya folks!

Just a quickie for all my 'darker' followers.

I am gradually collecting all of my Dark and Gothic digital images in one place for you to purchase, separate from my mainstream Delicious Doodles store.

The new store is named

Here is the link for those that would like to pop over and bookmark the blog for future purchases.

All normal images are staying in the Delicious Doodles store, so you have no need to worry about them disappearing!

Fresh Blood at HDH

Hiya folks!
How are you all keeping these days?

We have some fresh/new blood over in the Haunted Design House dungeon, in the shape of the Maniacal Mother of Mayhem, Monique.
And as this week sees the return of our challenges there we decided to make the first theme of the year -

New Blood.

We want to see your take on our sanguine theme,
but whether you actually use real blood or not, is up to you ;)
And let's try and keep things in the creepy vein, shall we?

I took things almost literally and came up with a new image to use.
I have also made a new Blog Shop to keep all my darker images in.
These will gradually be transferred from the mainstream shop into this new one HERE

So, now onto the make and the brand new never seen before image.
It's a lovely wee blood sucker -

He is only the first image uploaded to the shop, there WILL be more to follow, just as soon as I can sort my butt out and find the time to get on with it!!! lol

And here is what I came up with in the shape of a wee make:

Lots of black card, die-cuts, smeary black ink and metallic silvery waxy stuff

The web and bat die shapes are brand new to me - I bought them off a facebook buddy before Christmas, and this is the first time I have used them in a make. I added some red gems for the bats eyes.

The above pic shows the depth of the layering and curled bats wings.
Below, the flower is made using a Tim Holtz die, Tattered Flowers. I added a bigger red gem for the flower centre.

The loopy frame is a Spellbinders one, and the iron work behind that is the Martha Stewart 'cut around the page' punch set.

I took the liberty of adding some red pen to Mr Vampy, just to jazz him up a bit, lol.
Oh, and the textured paper is some I have had lying about for age. All used up now so I shall have to find some more somewhere.

So, hope you can join us this fortnight with your 'new blood' makes! Remember - keep it creepy! lol
