LOADS of New Releases
phew - where does the time go!!?? lol

I suppose you want to see what's new then?
Right, well pull up a chair, grab the bickies and a coffee and I'll show ya!
WARNING! Piccie heavy post!!!

OK, first up is a new sketched image featuring a ploughing scene from yesteryear,

This would look fabulous set in a Vintage style or as a male themed make too!

Next up we have a collection of TEN images in a similar theme.
They are all frames or borders (whichever you prefer to call them) featuring different flowers and butterflies, although one has a hummingbird rather than a butterfly.

These would be perfect for your Mother's Day makes, or for female Birthday's and Thank You's.
In fact they would be great for many other occasions too! The possibilities are endless, lol.

So here goes with all TEN images then, are you ready? lol -

And finally (phew!)

Are you still with me folks?? lol

Hope you all have fun with your crafting today!

Gargoyles Galore!!

Howdee-doodlee folks!

Hope you are all keeping well this fine and sunny (but cold) day here in bonny Scotland?
Yesterday was soooooo lovely I spent a fair while in the garden helping hubby trim the mahoosive hedge (I did the bottom half, I hate ladders!) If you like you can read about it here.

But today sees me here blogging the new theme for the next fortnight over on the

Our next challenge is :
Gruesome Guardians
You are to create a dark, Gothic, or Hallowe'en based art piece
using gargoyles, gryphons, dragons, leprechauns, fairies, etc.

We are looking for the beasts and creatures that protect or guard
the pots of gold, the doorways to other worlds, Excalibur,
or anything of value in the underworld, or days of myth and yore.

Please be sure and let us know in your post, what your creature guards
or protects.

Some of you may remember last year the Gargoyle image I released. Well I have used it for my creation here too, and I have some new stuff released just this morning featuring some new Gargoyle Corner shapes.

This is a new Frame/Border I have made using the Corners below, and with an added architectural edge pattern,

Below is the new Corner Set,

I have also designed a new set of papers, of which I used the black version on my make

Finally, here are a few photos of my make.
I kept it very simple, using just the black paper from the above set, the frame from above and my original Grotesque Gargoyle image. A bit of smudgy black ink, black card and some foam pads for layering up.

Very simple indeed - almost CAS, but not quite. lol

Right, don't think this will fit many challenges out there, but we'll have a go!
Catch ya later peeps!!

First up then, is a collection of sentiments for the fellas, with some Father's Day ones, and a couple you could use for other things too -

And next up, a special request from one of my ladies who wanted a man hugging his kids, so here I have -

POE - Romantic or Lunatic?

Hiya folks!

Ugh, what a crappy weekend I just had. Friday morning I woke at 5am with a raging IBS attack, followed very swiftly by my daughter's flipping cold. Plu I had to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday night with my face streaming and sneezing all over the sink. Good job I am not one of the servers!! lol

Not much better this morning. The face just won't stop leaking which is a darned nuisance when taking the dog out for a walk in the snow showers. I need three pairs of hands!! (Sorry son, I borrowed your deerstalker hat)

Anyway, while I can still see I thought I had better pop in and announce the new theme this fortnight at Macabre Monday, which is:

Poetry and Prose of Poe: Romantic or Lunatic?

You are to create a dark, Gothic, or Hallowe'en based art piece
using Poe's writings to personify love or lunacy.

Now I'm the first to admit that I find poetry very difficult to read. I have no idea why, it just doesn't work for me. Much rather have a good novel to digest.

But I forced myself to read a few of Poe's poems, and noticed a few similarities in some of them. Mostly they are quite sorrowful and lamenting, going on about souls lost, death, moonlit waters, mountains and ethereal mists. I see him as a hopeless romantic, with an obsession with death.

So I came up with a new image based around the common threads in his poems. This was used on my Delicious Doodles Group as a prize in a competition, and the name I chose for it was won by Gloria

The image is now named - 'La Llorona' (The Weeping Woman)
and will be in the Delicious Doodles Shop on Wednesday.

I decided to make my card into a monochrome easel card, and have used one of my new papers from the 'Swirly Heart Paper' set for my dp.

Everything else is from the stash. Frame cut using spellbinders die. Flower cut with a Tim Holtz die. Bow hand tied by myself, and charm hand made by me too! Twiggy bits are done using punches.

I will leave you with a close-up of the image. No layers here, just flat as it printed.
