Mistletoe Kiss

Hiya folks!

Hope you are all keeping well? Got any exciting plans for the weekend? No exciting plans here, just the usual...

Thought I'd pop along and blog this wee make that I did using my 'Mistletoe Kiss' image.

I decided I had better make a start doing a few Christmas cards. I don't send as many as I used to. Most of my family don't speak to each other any more, so no need there. Just a few special folks to send to and that's it.

For this card I used papers off my compy, but adjusted their colour to suit my theme. The big frame is a die cut, which I bought from a facebook buddy (thanks hun!) smudged with inks and stickles added. I also popped a couple of pearls on to match the pinky colour of her nails and lips.

Mistletoe Kiss was coloured with my usual watercolour pencils before scanning in, resizig and printing for the fussy cut decoupage. I added some clear stickles onto the berries, but you can't make that out from these photos.

Last thing was the ribbon, a few pearls stuck to it, big bow and some clear gems in the corners. Done! I hardly ever do sentiments on my cards. Never know what to put or where to put it so it doesn't spoil the card! lol. Whatever needs to be said goes on the inside.

Right, I'm offski... hope you all have fun this weekend, whatever you get up to!

Steampunk Meets Goth

(I hope)

Hiya folks!

Thought I'd pop by with a wee make I finished the other day.
I designed this little image a few weeks back and have only just got round to doing something with it! I wanted to doodle a girl in a steampunk style, but with a goth twist, and I hope I managed to catch the flavour of that with my Gothicka image.

I wanted to keep it a bit girly so I have used reds, purples and pinks along with my usual black, lol. The background dp is one of my own too, Rose and Thistle Paper, in red.

Cardstock used is from my stash, and has been embossed with steampunk folders from Spellbinders and Cuttlebug, smeared over with metallic waxy stuff. The frame the girl is sitting in was done using a Spellbinders die, with the centre of it cut out as it was a solid middle. I have inked the edges to match in with everything else.

Ribbon is from the stash, as are the wee candy dots
The key and cog shapes I got from ebay a few months ago, and are laser cut shapes which I inked over and waxed up.
The image is coloured with my usual watercolour pencils before being scanned, printed and fussy cut.

Right, well, much to do. Gotta get doodling for the upcoming '12 Days of Creepmas' event this year. My first go at it....eeeeekkk! Hope I can manage twelve new images before Xmas!!!!

 ttfn peeps!
