Samhain Sunset at HDH

Hellooooooo folks!

Hope you all survived the hurricane force winds down south? (UK)
Sounds like a normal autumn storm like we get up here in Scotland, lol

Anyroadup (or blocked as the case may be) I have more of that project I showed yesterday.
There is a new theme over at Haunted Design House, the last one of the year for us as we'll be taking a seasonal break from the darkness.
Our theme this time, seeing as it will be Hallowe'en soon, is
'Samhain Sunset'

We have a new sponsor for this theme, Aurora Wings, a lovely fantasy artist. I didn't use the images supplied for my make though. I used my own, selfish aren't I?? lol

So here are some more pages, and tags from my tag book.
I have tried to work everything in the book around the theme of EYES

This is the cover then.
I followed THIS TUTORIAL for the basic making of the book, but adjusted the sizes to suit my design. The cover pages use regular cardstock which has been embossed and smeared with waxy metallic stuff.

The image on the front is 'Reptile Eye' which I placed under a lovely metal book plate by Tim Holtz. I put loads of brads on the right so that I could use them as a fastening for the fingers that are clutching the book. These are an image I designed based on my grotty little fingers, and are called 'Digits'. I put some sticky magnetic bits under the tips to attach to the brads.

So here are some of the pages, and their tags (double sided)
All images used are from my store:
Too many images to mention individually!!

Phew, you still there? lol

All the frames for my images are made using spellbinders dies.
All cardstock, ribbon and glitz is from the stash.
All colouring done using watercolour pencils.

Can't believe how long this project took me, in-between walking the dog, all the household duties and having light therapy three days a week in the hospital I'm surprised I got it finished at all, lol

Had to cancel my session in the light tubes today, as I have done something to my knee and I don't want to aggravate it with a drive into town. Mind you, now the kids are back at school, 'tis me that has to take doggie out again, so that won't make it any better...ah well. Off to the Doc this afternoon, see what they say...
ttfn folks!

Bit of a Booky Wooky

Hellooooo folks!
Happy Sunday to you all.

I'm here today with a wee couple of pages from a project that took me almost a month to make. Not because it was a massive project. No! Because of time constraints!! Okay, yes, there are a lot of fiddly bits to it and that was time consuming. So it was very frustrating to keep on having to leave it and go do something else!!

I did a post a few days back with a little tag that is part of this book too. I will also be back tomorrow with the rest of this tag book for my DT piece at HDH.

So, here it is then, two facing pages using images and papers from my Delicious Doodles Shop:

Page on the left uses Pile o' Bones Paper and Zombie Pirate
Page on the left uses a paper I made out of my cobweb image, and Beastly Bat-erfly

The frames are made from spellbinders dies smudges with waxy silver stuff

Each page has a tag inside, hence it being called a tag book! lol
Inside the left page is this tag, one side uses 'Hungreeee!':

The other side features 'Angel of Death':

The right hand page houses this tag, with a wee snippet of an image on one side:

And the full image on the other, 'Black Widow'

I have used embossed card for my tag shapes, made using card from my stash and embossing folders. Loads of smudgy waxy stuff, and bits and bobs also from the stash, along with bits of ribbon and bows.

So, that's me for today.
I'll be back tomorrow at some point with more of this project. Got my therapy at the hospital in the am, as long as I can get there ok, as I have done something to my knee and have been told to rest it. Yeah, like that happens with a family and a dog to walk. . .!!

See ya later peeps!!

31 Days of Hallowe'en - Day 24

Hiya folks!

Running a tad behind again today. Not a good start. Poor wooffit had another fit this morning, before even setting out on our usual walkies, so that's thrown us all out of kilter...

Anyway, I have a wee make for you, and this is for Day 24 of the huge monthly blog hop in celebration of all things horrific, gothic and halloweenie! I made this wee tag, part of something a bit bigger, but I'll go into that at a later date, hee-hee!

It's a double sided tag, but I kept it the same both sides apart from the image used.
For one side I have used 'La Llorona (The Weeping Woman)', and the other side 'Wolf's Eye'. Papers on both sides are my own too 'Swirly Heart Papers'.

I used a Spellbinders die for the image frames, smeared with gold coloured waxy stuff, and added some false nail heads. Ribbon is from the stash.

Right, that's all for now folks!
Catch ya later!

Hideous Crone!

Helloooooooo folks,
and Happy Sunday to ya!

I have a wee spooky number for you today, featuring an ugly old witch from my Horrorscope series - this one is
ain't she just too hideous?? lol

I made this for the humungous month long blog hop that celebrates the 31 days of Hallowe'en. Pop over to this blog HERE for all the details on how you can take part.
If you'd like to win this image, please pop over to the Delicious Doodles blog HERE for your chance!!

I made another easel card for this image to sit on, surrounded in the Halloweenie - Boney Border. Absolutely NO colouring was involved in this creation!
I did get messy with the smudgy silver waxy stuff though, lol

Bit of embossed card, some spider web corners punched, a couple of fake nail heads, ribbon from the stash and some wee hot fix fake studs and voila!

Jobs a good 'un!

Well, hope you have a good Sunday folks!
Might nip onto the garden in a bit and fetch the last of me runner beans in for din-dins! Nom-nom-nom...

Catch ya later dudes and dudesses!

31 Days of Hallowe'en, Day 18

18th of October already!! HELP - I seem to have lost most of this year! lol Honestly, where DO the days go to???

Anyway, some of you are aware that there is a month long blog hop going on HERE to celebrate the advent of Hallowe'en, and today I have a small offering as a contribution towards my Delicious Doodles Team effort to complete every day.

Just a wee sumpfink I knocked up using my Halloweenie - Mummy image which is the prize for today on the Delicious Doodles Blog HERE. Funnily enough, it also ties in with our theme at the Delicious Doodles Challenge, 'Non-Scary Halloween'.

I have used some card that I have going spare, some new ribbon I got off ebay, out of which I also made the matching bow, a spare jewelled brad and some plain black card that I embossed with a spider web texture.

Made it all into this easel card. Smudged metallic silver waxy stuff over the textures (yummy effect) and layered up my image that I had previously coloured with my watercolour pencils. Here is a closer view of the layering:

Okay that's it then.
A few minutes to spare before legging it to the hospital for my Light Therapy treatment.

Catch ya later folks!

HDH in another Dimension

No not really, but this fortnight at Haunted Design House we are hoping to see lots of dimension in your projects!
This is week two of the challenge, and we are sponsored by Tando Creative

Now, meanie that I am, I don't usually play with sponsor goodies. Aint that selfish of me? lol. PAH!! I have a dimensional project anyway that I have been meaning to post here for part of the 31 Days of Halloween, so I may as well pop a piccie or two up here now.

Anyway, you may have spotted this wee trinket box a while back that I made out of card. I used my Love's Faded Memory image for the top in that panel there.

The inside is NOT a trinket box at all, ha-ha-ha!!
NO -
It's an exploding box that I made using all of my new

I followed a template for the exploding box, glued each tombstone to each panel of the box, backed it with my Pile o' Bones paper and then trimmed round the tombstones.

Below are two piccies of the box in more detail. I haven't got round to doing anything with the very middle of it yet.

So there you have it.
A bit of dimension from me in something other than a card for a change!! lol

No added froo-froo either I might add. Hmmmm...must be feeling ill, hee-hee.

Just a Little Sumpfin. . .

Hiya folks!

'Bout time I posted something on here, and as it is my turn to pop something on the Delicious Doodles Blog for the 31 Days of Hallowe'en Event, I thought I would make it this little notelet card I created for a blogging buddy back in September.

She has received this now, so I am good to post! LOL

I used a new embossing folder I got a couple of months ago. A lovely 3 dimensional Celtic Knot design - yummy!!

So I set to work using a similar item I bought to use as a template.
Lots of metallic guilding wax stuff in various colours.
A few other die cut shapes, a sentiment popped on the backside of a tag and a bit more embossing round the tag edges.

I used my Horrorscope Virgo image and a little ATC frame I made a while back to put the image in, and popped a few bits up with foam pads. Then I stuck it to the card. Here is the sentiment on the back of the tag, hee-hee!

And finally a closeup version of the back.
I did wrap it all in a nice bit of black ribbon too, just to help it stay closed as it is a bit lively and wants to pop open all the time! lol
