Oriental Style

Hiya folks!

Hope all is well with everyone? Big cyber hugs if you are poorly!xx

I have just this morning released a LOAD of new Oriental themed images into my

And so here I am blabbing about them to all of you!!
OK, so first are the preview images of the New Releases, followed by a wee sample I knocked up last night and finished off this morning.

And here are some piccies of the sample card I made,
and Fan-tasia images

I coloured the corner images digitally before laying them on top of the paper and printing out. Then I printed them again without the paper so I could cut out the flowers and pop them up.

'Fan-tasia' was coloured with my watercolour pencils before rescanning and resizing to print the layers ready for popping up too.
Then I added some red stickles to the flower corners, some gold stickles to the frame and on the image here and there, and lastly some large red gems.
Then it was all layered onto soem thick black card with gold rub-on smeared round the edges:

You still with me folks!??! lol
I'm liking how this one turned out in the end. It took several tries with the different frames and paper colours to get the combi I liked, but I got there eventually! lol

Okay, so I'm off to try and find some challenges to enter this one in, taa-taa for now peeps!

Hmmmm peeps.

I've been hearing and reading rumours that blogger here are going to be removing the followers lists from our dashboards in the near future. I don't know if these rumours are true or not - I really hope NOT. I haven't had any notice from blogger that this will happen - has anybody else?

Anyway, some of you out there are already switching your readers to this here BLOGLOVIN site, so I thought I would do so as well.

So, if you are on there, and if you want to follow me as and when this happens, then please follow this link:

You'll have to sign up with them like I did, sorry about that but needs must. Trouble is, I will have to do this with all the other blogs I write too - including my store! Sheesh!!

Right, lets hope this link thing works and I can get my blog listed there...

Come On In. . .Mwuahahahahaaaaaa!

Howdee folks??!

Hope all is well with you and yours?

I have two of my babies ho,e today, one with a snotty cold after a stupid pyjama day at school on Friday (who's idea was that, and in March for feck's sake?) and the other with sore ribs (no, I didn't give any thumps, lol!) Oh the joys of parenthood...

Anyway, today sees the start of a new theme at Macabre Monday

Which is:
"The Divine Comedy/ Dante's Inferno"

So after a spell of googling research, I was completely lost as to what to make for this one!

But then, whilst listening to some tunes I had just bought off a certain i-store I had a flash of inspiration.

Some of you may know I am into the heavier side of music - none of this Beiber/One Direction crud for me. I am a child of the 70's, when Glam Rock was IN, closely followed by Metal and BIG hair in the 80's.
Ah, those were the days!

Well, back then, one of the bands I followed was W.A.S.P., and this tune was one of my fav's from them.
The words from the start of the song evoked a vision of the Devil welcoming you into Hell. Seeing as Dante started his 'field trip' by going through the Gates of Hell, I decided to go down that road and do a make based on that!

Of course, I HAD to doodle me a new image for it, lol, and here is my make using it:

I made a gatefold card for the base, giving the fold some extra depth to cope with the dimension of the inner piece.
On the front I enlarged my image and focused on the hands, inking the image behind so it couldn't be seen as much. I framed it all with my Gargoyle Frame image, printed on the dp, and with the sentiment added before the print stage.
I added a couple of fancy brads to the flaps to make them look like doors.

And the inside, with the new image 'Gates of Hell' in full -

I have loosly coloured the image using watercolour pencils. Greys for the main part and fire colours for the background. Again, the sentiment was added before I printed out the coloured and scanned image. This was then layered onto the same dp and some fussy cut layers added to pop it all up.
I also added a couple of embossed panels to make the inside flaps look like doors.

So there you have it. My vision of the Gates of Hell.
That's the name of the image too by the way! lol

Why don't you pop by the Macabre Monday Challenge for some fabulous inspiration from my teamies there

Hmmm, wonder if I can find some challenges to enter with this. . .

Celtic Greetings!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day folks!

For those who celebrate it that is. Not everyone has Irish connections, lol
I do, but that is in the very distant past and it's not something I generally celebrate.

I have done a wee make though, loosely Irish themed, but mostly with a Celtic feel using a few of my more recently released images.
And here it is:

Images used are:

Lots of layered card, smudgy stuff and big green feather and that's me lot!

Pretty simple really.
Didn't want to detract from the images with too much froo-froo! lol

All images are coloured with my usual watercolour pencils, scanned into the compy and printed for layering up with foam pads.
I will leave you with a piccie of the layers:

Off to work now then for a few hours.
I may be back in a bit to link up a few challenges depending how I feel after work.
All that washing up plays havoc with the fingers and me back! It's a deep sink!!

Bad Blogger!

Hiya folks!

Deary me, I am such a bad blogger just lately. Honestly, I don't know where these weeks are flying to, but I seem to be missing them all, lol.

Completely ran out of time for my Macabre Monday make (OMG - so sorry peeps - flogging time in the dungeon me thinks...!) AND Iam also rather late in posting my little make that has been waiting for a week to get done! sigh.

Anyroadup, without any further moaning from me here it is:

I actually made it for my Mum -hope she got it OK. Post is a pain in the bum just lately! I suppose I'll find out tomorrow when I give her the usual M'Day phone call.

I have used one of my most recent Frame images for this one - Daffodils and Butterfly, layered onto orange card, dotty dp and green bazzill. A few inky edges and added gems, just one popped up layer with folded butterfly wings and bob' me uncle! lol.

Have a closer look at this one:

I added the sentiment prior to printing out.

Here is a piccie showing the popped up layer and curled petals:

Okay, so that's me done then.
Casserole in the oven, hubby parked in front of the Rugby (C'mon Scotland!!!). Gonna spend a bit of time on some more images, maybe even get some colouring done and get my arse into gear for another make!!
ttfn folks!
