Well helllloooooooo folks!

We're there! This is the last day of the 12 Days of Creepmas Blog Hop event, organised by the girls at the Smeared and Smudged Forum. All the deets and starting point for the hop can be found HERE

This time I have the BIG REVEAL of my little Gothic Christmas tree, made using

Before its was this plain looking black thing with clear light fittings.
But after a bit of paint it became this:

Lots of shopping for black shiny stuff, lots of fussy cutting and sticking and voila!
It became this fully fledged Gothic number, be warned folks - many photos coming up!!

Last one then, my little tree set in it's grotty grotto, the dining room windowsill

 So that's it then peeps!
No more Creepmas images.
That's that for this year.

Hope you enjoyed my dabble with the dark side this festive season.

Also hoping you all enjoy your holiday time with your families and friends.

12 Days of Creepmas - Day 11

Howdeedoodleee folks!

Getting nearer to the big day folks - I'll be glad when it's all over personally. Such a lot of build up, and it's always an anticlimax. Best part of the day for me is the Christmas Dinner with the family round the table chatting away, closely followed by the Dr. Who special in the evening!!!

Today I have my next project for the 12 Days of Creepmas Blog Hop event, organised by the girls at the Smeared and Smudged Forum. All the deets and starting point for the hop can be found HERE

This time I have an Advent Box for you,
made using lots of

I made lots of little matchboxes using a template I downloaded off the net. I had to adjust the size a wee bit though to give space for loads of choccies and sweeties.

The paper I used throughout is one of my own from the Rose and Thistle set (reduced and enlarged accordingly).
The two images used above are close-up's of Skully Santa and Creepmas Centrepiece.

All the text was placed in position prior to printing. The typeface is called 'Blood of Dracula', downloaded off the net again.
I have used brads for the little drawer pulls.
Images used above are Holly Sugar Skull and Creepy Gargoyle.

I have cut die shapes to frame the images, and smeared them with metallic waxy stuff, then layered them on black and gold card before adding black stickles for a bit of bling. Images used above are the same as the first photo, but different parts of the images.

Last bit of bling in the shape of some red stickles round the images.
I have used the Creepy Gargoyle again here, and also Evil Snowman.

The piccie above is the lid for the box. I made a separate box for the top, so needed a lid for it.The webby corners are die cuts. A gem in each corner and that's that done!

This is the inside of the box for the 25th.
Images used - Merry Creepmas Sentiment and Skully Santa (with most of it erased to leave just his face)
This is now full of yummy truffles for the kids!! (Secretly hoping they don't like them, so I can eat them myself, lol)

Okay, that's it from me today, hope you survived all the photos! hee-hee.
I'll be back on Monday with  . . .

12 Days of Creepmas - Day 10

Howdeedoodleee folks!

It's THAT time of the year when all things yucky and viral come out to  play. Yes indeed folks - the icky bug has hit my eldest D and she spent yesterday on the sofa. Damn those filthy germ ridden schools... Hope everyone stays well for the next week or so. I'd hate for any of them to be ill for Christmas!!

Today I have my next project for the 12 Days of Creepmas Blog Hop event, organised by the girls at the Smeared and Smudged Forum. All the deets and starting point for the hop can be found HERE

This time I have a card for you,
made using a
by the name of

I kept this relatively simple.
Just the image, which has been coloured in, rescanned, printed and fussy cut.
Here is a piccie of the layers:

I also used my Merry Creepmas Sentiment.
The backing paper is a scan of the skin on my hand, enlarged and coloured red. I added some stickles and popped it all on some very dark green cardstock.

So there you have it folks!
Next time I will be along with something totally different, hee-hee!
Catch ya then peeps!

12 Days of Creepmas - Day 9

Howdeedoodleee folks!

Well, these days just keep on flying by don't they?
Soon be Christmas -eeeeekkk!!

Today I have my next project for the 12 Days of Creepmas Blog Hop event, organised by the girls at the Smeared and Smudged Forum. All the deets and starting point for the hop can be found HERE

This time I have the last of the baubles for my little tree,
made using a
by the name of

This was really very simple to make. I just printed the image twice, stuck some feathers on one image at the back, then I stuck the other image on the back of that to sandwich the feathers. Then I stickled the edges with black. I punched a wee hole in the tail for a loop to attach a ribbon and ta-da! Done!

Hmmm, that pic was a bit fuzzy wasn't it??
Ah well, whatever! Catch ya later folks!

12 Days of Creepmas - Day 8

Howdeedoodleee folks!

Happy Sunday to you all. Hope you manage to get loads of crafting done today. I'm almost done with my Creepmas makes, so I'll be finishing them up and hopefully moving on to something else very soon!

Today I have my next project for the 12 Days of Creepmas Blog Hop event, organised by the girls at the Smeared and Smudged Forum. All the deets and starting point for the hop can be found HERE

This time I have the topper for my little tree,
made using a
by the name of

Well, I couldn't really use a Fairy now,  could I?? lol
This was made the same was as all the baubles, except there is no loop attachment. I just left the bottom of the image open so I could insert the top of the tree into it and keep it from falling off.

He's a bit sturdier than the baubles too, as I used card instead of paper to print him onto. Right, well that's it from me today. Next time I shall have the last of my baubles to show you, so see you then folks!!

Promise, I WILL have something else for you real soon!!

Usual drill for the making of this one.
Print out, colour, rescan, print layers, fussy cut, layer up with foam pads, add jump rings and voila!!

Thinking about it now, I could have added loads of wee gems on the red dots. Hmmm, maybe I will if I get some spare time later on...

12 Days of Creepmas - Day 6

Wooo-hoooo folks!
Halfway through our 12 Days of Creepmas Event!

Sorry I'm late with this today, bit of a hectic morning with walking the dog, having my light therapy at the hospital, then doing a bit of shopping in town, rushing home for eldest to have her lunch from school. Only now have I got the chance to sit here, scoff some lunch myself, type this out and then bog off on another walkies.

I shall be glad to sit down properly later on!

Anyroadup, today I have my next project for the 12 Days of Creepmas Blog Hop event, organised by the girls at the Smeared and Smudged Forum. All the deets and starting point for the hop can be found HERE

This time I have another Bauble for my little tree, made using a
Delicious Doodles image
by the name of
'Skully Pendant'

This was printed out, coloured, rescanned and printed smaller for lots of layers.

I removed the loop at the top of the image, and popped a jump ring in there to attach my ribbon to. This was a wee bit I scavenged from the stupid loops you get on the shoulders of tops these days. Gotta cut them things off, pain in the butt!!!

Anyway, as usual it was hard to photograph the right colours, so below is a quick watermarked pic of how it looks on screen:

That was a bit short and sweet huh? lol

Never mind. There's a biggie to come soon and you'll probably get bored with that one! hee-hee

TTFN folks!

12 Days of Creepmas - Day 5

Hellllooooooooo folks!

Hope you are all well and raring to go after the weekend??
Back to normal here, dog walks, sick kids, the usual...

Anyroadup, today I have my next project for the 12 Days of Creepmas Blog Hop event, organised by the girls at the Smeared and Smudged Forum. All the deets and starting point for the hop can be found HERE

This time I have a wall-hanging for you, made using a
Delicious Doodles image
by the name of
'Merry Creepmas Sentiment'

I printed it out twice after colouring and scanning.
The first printout was for the base. I used a plate to draw round for the rounded edges and smeared it all with my inky dauber.

Then I cut out the letters from the 2nd printout and popped them up with foam pads.
Next I placed it all onto black card and cut round that. Last of all was some black and red stickles, which I dragged down to make dribbly blood bits across the top.

The chain is the last bit of sink plug chain I got from the boss, attached using a couple of jump rings out of the stash. Done!!

Hope you all have a great day!

12 Days of Creepmas - Day 4

Howdeedoodlee folks!

Hope everyone is well and crafting busily for Christmas, hee-hee.

Today I have my next project for the 12 Days of Creepmas Blog Hop event, organised by the girls at the Smeared and Smudged Forum. All the deets and starting point for the hop can be found HERE

This time I have a card for you, made using a
Delicious Doodles image
by the name of
'Love Lies Bleeding'

I used black cardstock for the base.
Everything ese was printed out and then fussy cut and layered up with foam pads.
The image was coloured already, I just scanned it back into my compy and used that to print from. I added the text first though!
Typeface is one I found on the net - named 'Blackadder'

I added some stickles round the red frame, wanted a dribbly blood look. I also popped a bit round the edge of the glass, yum. What's that drink you have where you add salt round the rim?? Reminded me of that, lol.

Anyway, lots to do today. Gotta cook extra meals for the son as he is home without us tomorrow. Hubby is off to Rugby in Edinburgh, and the girls and I are going to the zoo there. Hope it doesn't rain...

Have a great weekend folks!!

12 Days of Creepmas - Day 3

Howdeeeee folks!
Phew, it's a bit wild and wooley out there today!
Blowin' a hooley as we say here in Scotland, lol. Managed to avoid the hail and snow showers so far, got a bit windswept out with doggie earlier though. Bit tired too as a thunder storm woke me up at 5am. Poor doggie was scaredy all morning as well.

Anyway, today I have my 3rd project for the 12 Days of Creepmas Blog Hop event, organised by the girls at the Smeared and Smudged Forum. All the deets and starting point for the hop can be found HERE

It's another wee bauble for my little Gothic Tree.
This one is made using Delicious Doodles image
Here it is coloured up before printing out. Wish it came out this vibrant on my photo's!!

And here it is hanging off the tree
Excuse the naff photo's again folks...

I removed the topmost part of the image to fit some actual chain to the image. I procured this from the boss at work when he fixed the sink plug.
Left over chain is handy sometimes!! lol

This has been printed multiple times, and flipped too, so I could make a 3d bauble out of it with lots of layering.
Here is another shot so you can see most of them:

Think I may try and get a card finished for the next post on Saturday.
See you then folks!! And in the meantime to all in the UK - stay safe in the hoolie!!

12 Days of Creepmas - Day 2

Hiya peeps!
What a crappy day it is outside!!!
Sooooo dark and wet and depressing.
Time for some festive cheer - NOT!!! lol

Today I have my 2nd project for the 12 Days of Creepmas Blog Hop event, organised by the girls at the Smeared and Smudged Forum. All the deets and starting point for the hop can be found HERE

So here is my rather wee project -
a bauble for my Gothic Christmas Tree
made using Delicious Doodles image

I removed part of the image (the chain at the top), and put a real chain in there instead so I could hang it off the tree.

These pics are not great. It was sunny out when I took them and the tree is in the window. Had to close the blinds but the foreground is still rather silhouetted.

I fussy cut the image, flipped it and layered it to make it double sided and 3 dimensional.
This is the best shot I think...

You can see below that the colours on the screen are so different from when printed and photographed. That purple is more vivid IRL

Right. Need to take more photos, but I don't think that will happen today unless the rain naff's off!!!!

Be back on Wednesday for part 3... Catch ya later folks!

12 Days of Creepmas

Well hellloooooo folks!
Happy Sunday to ya. 1st of December today, yikes!! Better start thinking about Christmas stuff I suppose. Not that I haven't already, just been a bit 'alternative' instead.

I am taking part (for the first time) in a large blog hop event called the 12 Days of Creepmas, where we celebrate Christmas a bit differently, hence the creepmas bit in the title. If you want to take part, head to Terra's blog where you will find all the details, dates etc.

There is a large blog hop roll over there in the sidebar if anyone wants to play along and visit.

I recently bought myself a wee black tree to use as a Christmas Tree replacement. It's meant to be a Cherry Blossom Tree, but I decided to Goth it up a bit and paint all the little light covers. Here is a 'before' and 'after' shot:

Later on I will be added some 'schtuff' to it like baubles and tinsel...

Anyway, my 12 Days item today is this wee card I knocked up using a couple of my Delicious Doodles images, Gothic Church Window and Creepy Gargoyle:

The background here was done using inks and smudgy daubers. The black dauber went a bit scratchy, hence the swirly effect. I quite liked what happened there so I kept it instead of redoing it. Looked a bit creepy...sorry about the blurry pic below...

The holly and berries are done using a holly punch, and small circle punch. Gold card for the berries and black for the holly. Edged in gold metallic waxy stuff, and gold pen for the veins. Regular black pen for the berry 'ends'.

I added dimension using foam pads. Wanted the Gargoyle to appear as if he is climbing out from behind the window.

So there ya go folks. Day one done and dusted.
I'll be back on 3rd for the next installment.
Enjoy your hopping across the large blog list peeps!!

Mistletoe Kiss

Hiya folks!

Hope you are all keeping well? Got any exciting plans for the weekend? No exciting plans here, just the usual...

Thought I'd pop along and blog this wee make that I did using my 'Mistletoe Kiss' image.

I decided I had better make a start doing a few Christmas cards. I don't send as many as I used to. Most of my family don't speak to each other any more, so no need there. Just a few special folks to send to and that's it.

For this card I used papers off my compy, but adjusted their colour to suit my theme. The big frame is a die cut, which I bought from a facebook buddy (thanks hun!) smudged with inks and stickles added. I also popped a couple of pearls on to match the pinky colour of her nails and lips.

Mistletoe Kiss was coloured with my usual watercolour pencils before scanning in, resizig and printing for the fussy cut decoupage. I added some clear stickles onto the berries, but you can't make that out from these photos.

Last thing was the ribbon, a few pearls stuck to it, big bow and some clear gems in the corners. Done! I hardly ever do sentiments on my cards. Never know what to put or where to put it so it doesn't spoil the card! lol. Whatever needs to be said goes on the inside.

Right, I'm offski... hope you all have fun this weekend, whatever you get up to!
