Autumnal Malice

Hiya folks!

Hope you are all keeping well this fine (for a change) day!?

I have managed to find some spare time for a make to go with our new theme over at the

This time round we want to see your Autumn/Fall colours and scenes as it is that time for the year here in the UK. Things are getting chilly up here in NE Scotland, the trees are changing already. Let's hope we get some proper colour this year, and it doesn't all get blown away before we get to enjoy it!!

OK, onto my make then, which features my newest image 'Malice':

'Malice' is coloured using my usual watercolour pencils, then scanned and made into layers for me to fussy cut and pop up with foam pads. My backing dp is one of my own too - 'Steampunk Paper', which is a greyscale image so you can colour it yourself in your graphics package.

The other papers are off the compy and coloured digitally to suit my scheme. This was all layered onto black and brown card, with stickles added, and some gems, and a strip across the middle which was made using a MS punch and ribbon.

The sentiment is computer generated using a typeface called 'Evanescence'.

Okeedokee folks. Need to bog off now and get some lunch ready for the son when he gets home for school dinnertime. Then it's walkies number two, and maybe some more doodling time!

Catch ya later peeps!

Some challenges I am entering -

Frilly and Funky - Autumn Colours
Nutcrafters - Glitter and Gems
Paper Shelter - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Can You Digi It? - Indian Summer
Crafty Sentiments - Autumn Colours

Chained Up

Hiya folks!

Hope you are all well this damp Monday morning? I spent a lovely few hours yesterday tidying up bits in the garden, before cooking Sunday dinner and doing three loads of washing. I only just managed to finish up this creation for today at 11.15pm last night, as the son hogs the compy for hours with his gaming. Hope we can afford to get him his own compy before too long. I am expecting some dosh from my Father in payment for doing the typesetting on his beloved cricket book. Hope it comes soon!! I can use that for his compy, and also one for the Daughter too. She wanted one for her birthday a fortnight ago, but we have no dosh right now. Come on Dad - get the cheque in the post!!!

Anyway, my very late creation last night is for the new them at Macabre Monday, which is all about Chains/Shackles etc. I'm afraid as it was sooo late I decided to keep it digital this time round, so no fussy-cutting and faffing with embellies. Everything you see here is a digital element.

The image I used is 'Thorne' from my Delicious Doodles shop, coloured using watercolour pencils and scanned to the compy. I also used my 'Chain Frame' and some little nut png's I have on the machine to create a frame to put her in.

The lacey bit is a digital png too from a scrapkit, just dragged across to the background image and layered behind the coloured image. I put a larger chain frame round the outer edge, which kinda got stretched a bit to fit, but doesn't look too bad. I copied the flowers from Thorne's hair and used them in the bottom left corner, and also added a bit of barbed wire across the top right. The backing is a paper from a scrapkit too.

So, that's it from me peeps, hope you all have a great day!

Halloweenies in Rubbah!

Hellloooooooooo folks!!

I'd like to say a mahoosive Thank You to everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday yesterday.
I had an average sort of day. Much the same as any other day in fact, except for the two boxes of choccies and bottle of Sherry I now have to consume! lol. I'm off to Elgin on Saturday with Dno1 as she wants to spend her Birthday money from last week, so I might just  buy something nice for myself while I'm out.

Anyways, I popped on to tell you that I now have some of my little Halloweenies on pre-order over at Sweet Pea Stamps. It's not the whole collection though, just these four:

I suppose the 'Zombie'  and 'Nasty Nursey' are just not sweet enough! lol

A Little Witchy Number

Hiya folks!

Man, what a weekend!
Spent Saturday organising the teenage daughter's birthday doo. Putting up the tent in the garden took a while, not to mention shopping for goodies to eat and drink for her and three mates. They stayed in the tent overnight - too darned LOUD to stay in! Then they  had the nerve to stay up ALL NIGHT watching dvd's! So no sleep here either as the dog went crazy every time they used the bathroom - ARRGHH!

So yesterday was spent picking up the pieces and tidying up, cooking Sunday lunch, and catching up with things with a fuzzy sleep deprived head. Needless to say my make for today was rather delayed. BUT here I am now with a very simple offering for this week's Macabre Monday Challenge. The theme this time is:

"I'm melting!!!"
You are to create a dark, Gothic, or Halloween-based art piece
that has something to do with
melted wax, candles, witches, or melted flesh.
The possibilities really are endless with this one.
It's time to start tapping into your Halloween spirit,
and create something seasonally spectacular!

I went with the 'witches' part of this one, and whizzed up a quick ATC sized easel card using one of my new Halloweenie images - WitchyPoo:

The image was coloured with my usual watercolour pencils, scanned and printed to the right size. Then I just made a quick easel card and layered the image and Best Witches Sentiment on some orange card before adding them to the base.

(Excuse the finger in the shot, but there is a note underneath the flap that I had to conceal as it is private.)

OK, well I need to nip this in the post ASAP, so I'll be off now then! ttfn folks!

Some challenges -

Corrosive - Animal Companions
Stamptacular - Less is More
Simply Create - Anything Goes

Oh My Gourd!!

Well helloooooooooo peeps!

How ya all keeping? Hope you had a great weekend?
A better one here than last week, nothing blew up or broke - bonus!!

Been a bit busy doodling, and I am going to be releasing a NEW RANGE of EIGHT images, plus a couple of border/frame images with HALLOWEEN in mind on WEDNESDAY this week!

The new range is called
and each image is in a frame with a cute? manga/anime style kiddie.
I previewed one of them last week, remember?

You can already buy her in the
as she was released last week as a little taster!

This next one was done with this week's Macabre Monday challenge theme which is:

"Oh My Gourd!!!"
You are to create a dark, Gothic, or Halloween-based art piece
that utilizes, mimics, infers, or is otherwise obviously
gourd or pumpkin inspired.

And so, here it is then,
Halloweenie - Pumpkinhead:

A little chappie with a pumpkin for a head, speaks for itself really, lol.

A simple make with the image coloured using watercolour pencils, layered up on foam pads after fussycutting, then layering onto card before layering onto the punched out frame. I added a wee line of gems at the bottom for some bling (and to fill the gap there, lol)
Then I stuck the lot onto some orange card for the base.

If you are a follower in the Delicious Doodles Facebook Group you will already have seen a few of the other images previewed there. If not, I will preview the rest of them here tomorrow just before their release in the shop on Wednesday!

OK then folks, hope you get to join us this week with all your pumpkin/gourd related makes!!

Bare Bones

Hiya folks!

Hope you are all well and had a good weekend? Yesterday was spent in the kitchen cooking the sunday roast, can't believe it took me three hours! Why? The darned element in the fan oven popped again, so now I am without my oven!! Luckily I have a Combination Oven/Microwave too, so I spent all that time putting one thing at a time in there and roasting it. What a pain!!

Anyway, today sees another new theme over at Macabre Monday, and we want to see your Bare Bones! Yup, we are going CAS this time, rather difficult me thinks, and I almost did it! lol

"Bare Bones"
You are to create a dark, Gothic, or Halloween-based art piece
that uses NO dimensional embellishments. That's right.
No rhinestones, no pearls, no ribbons, no chipboard.
Pretty much a clean and simple layout. It doesn't have to be
a single layer card, but no bumpy bits.

Ooopsies, I have a few bumpy bits on mine - but I got carried away and forgot all about it being CAS, added the pearls and let the glue dry. I WAS going to add some gems too, and then I remembered the 'no embellies' bit - bother, and I couldn't take the blooming pearls off by then! Anyroadup, here is what I made:

It's not an ATC, or a card, or anything in particular just now.

The image is a new one for Halloween and is part of a little range of images I am creating named the 'Halloweenies' this one is 'Vamp'. This one will be available in the shop on Wednesday, along with some other stuff. In case you wondered, it's meant to be a girl with ponytails in the shape of batwings. Hmmm, didn't really work there properly did it? lol

It is coloured with my usual watercolour pencils, scanned and printed then fussy cut for layering. I stuck it on some glittery purple card, then on a frame I made with a MS punch set. THEN I went and added them blummin' pearls - DOH !!

Hope you guys can do better than I did with the Clean and Simple look!
