Sweet Pea Favourites

Hiya folks!

Yesterday saw the start of a new theme at Sweet Pea Stampers, which this time round is

'Use Your Favourite Stamp'

You can make anything you like, but use your fav! Difficult choice for some, as these stamps are all so gorgeous! BUT I managed to rifle it down to this one by Ching Chou-Kuik, coloured with my watercolour pencils:

Loving that huge cat! Decided to go with a black and gold colour scheme, lovely and rich, but wanted to keep it fairly simple (as I was late making it and had NO time!! LOL)

My papers are all printed from a digi kit or two by 'Just So Scrappy Too'. The flower and leaves are made with my punches, some spare card bits, gold metallic rub on for the petals, and a gold brad for the centre. I also added some gems to the corners for a bit of bling.

Hope you can join us this time, and don't forget the DT Call, ends 1st March!!

Some challenges:
Fab 'n' Funky - recipe
Charisma Cardz - Black, White plus one
Totally Gorjuss - Black plus one
Allsorts - Make Your Own Flowers

DIY Buttons at Delicious Doodles

Hiya folks!

Heck - Friday already!! I do wish sometimes that these weeks would stop going by so quickly. Might have more time to get things done! LOL.

So here we are on Friday again, and that means a new challenge over at

Hope this one won't be too much for you, but we are 'Making Our Own Buttons' this week!! This was a bit of a reluctant one for me, as I don't like to use buttons on my creations. I don't know why, but I just feel uncomfortable using them, and they never look quite right to me.

But on I plodded. I hope I have got away with it though. I only made one button using gold mirri. I punched out two circles and embossed them in the big shot, punched some tiny holes in the middle, threaded gold ribbon through two of those holes and tied in a bow. Here is the finished button:

And here it is in place on my project:

This project is a bit of a work in progress. All the deets on how I made this and the rest of my project are on my 'not so mainstream' blog HERE. Below is a piccie of the Front Page of the project, which is an A5 sized book I am making in a medieval style:

And just to show that I HAVE used a Delicious Doodles image, here is one of the pages inside the book, featuring my brand new 'Gryphon' image which will be released to the
Delicious Doodles Shop tomorrow (Saturday)

Now I have to figure out what to put on the black pages. . . Ideas anyone?? LOL.

Here is a watermarked version of the Gryphon/Griffin, however you like to spell it. I prefer the old fashioned way better (Gryphon) as that is how we spelled it when I was in Primary School. It was one of our 'houses' which were all Mythical beasties - Pheonix, Unicorn, Wyvern, Pegasus and Gryphon. I'm going to be doodling the rest of these in the future too, so if you like Mythological Creatures, keep your eyes peeled for those!! LOL

Right then. Only a few challenges to enter with this project, so here goes:

Gingerloft - Animals
Digital Tuesday - Use punches
Frosted Designs - Use Metal
(used heat embossing for gold edges)
Paper Crafting Journey - Anything Goes
Party Time Tuesday - Anything Goes

Sweet Shamrock AND Steampunk Style

Hiya folks!

Been doodling again, this time I have been playing with the steampunk style which is 'in' at the moment. Nothing fancy you understand, just a bt of an experiment really to see if I could do it! LOL.

But first I want to show you the new Fairy image which is now available for puchase

This one is perfect for Saint Patrick's Day, Irish themes and Mythical type stuff,

Hope you guys can find a use for her!

Next up then are some steampunk style things, starting off with a mean-looking Doctor Jeckl type fella which I used on my Macabre Monday project on Monday,

Along with him I used this border/frame image, 'Chain + Cog Frame':

I also seperated the images so they can be used for different things,
so we have 'Chain Frame':

Original names huh? LOL. Well, what else could I call them!

For a sample of what I did with some of these images, pop across to my 'other blog' HERE

Catch ya later peeps!!

Teri xx

A Girly Project

Hiya folks!

Hope I find you all well after the weekend? All is well here, Dno1 is back at school, who knows for how long this time though. She seems to pick up everything going. Hubby won't be back to work until Wednesday. Let's just hope the 'frozen shoulder' isn't too painful - he is an MOT tester and has to use it a lot!!

Anyways, on to my card for today then, which, for a change is one of those twisted easels. I restricted my colour palette for this one to a pink and black number, with a touch of metallic silver and gold.

Bought myself a 'cut price' deal at the local craft shop last week, in the shape of an MS around the page set, which I used here for the corners and the centre panel. Used gold metallic rub on for the edges and centre.  The black at the back is some papermania embossed dots, lovely texture! The hot pink is a coredinations textured cardstock.

I am attending a craft weekend in October, and one of our sponsors (hopefully) is going to be 'Marianne' with her dies and new range of stamps. I got to play with one of the dies, the elegant lady with bonnet seen here in pink. (Marianne wanted some ideas of what we can do with her products, so I made this sample for her).

She is cut from the same card as the base, with raspberry coloured ink round the edges, and mounted onto the pre-gold smudged black panel. I have also used another of the Marianne dies, in the shape of the 'ribbon flower' in the corner. This was cut from the same pink card, and some spare black from the stash. The ribbon is from the stash also, with a silver brad for the centre. The wee flowers are done with a punch and a tiny brad too.

Top left are some recycled feathers from Dno2's old feather boa that she was throwing out, with a metallic pink bow on top - same ribbon that runs behind the centre panels. To this bow I have attached a dangly charm that I fashioned from bits of cheap jewellery (picked up in Boots for £2 a set!)

The base of the easel card is made the same as the front, but I have added extra flowers that were made with punches and some metal brads from 'making memories'. Last thing I did was add some stickles to the flower petals.

I'm going to enter a few challenges with this one, so here goes:

Pixie Cottage - sketch + embossing
Paperplay - Add Shine
SCSC - Fancy Folds
Stamps R Us - For the Girls
Frosted Designs Friday - No Patterned dp's

Blinging It Up at Delicious Doodles

Hiya folks!

What a week! Not only do I have Dno1 home AGAIN with yet another tummy upset, but now I also have DH signed off for a week with a 'frozen shoulder'! Off to the Doc's later with Dno1. Gotta figure out why she keeps getting sickies.

Anyroadup, enough moaning! Time for a new theme at
and this time we are after some
'Glitz, Glam, Shimmer and Bling'
Time to get out the glad rags, so to speak!

But, what with it all happening this week, my mojo kind of deserted me a bit. I did however come up with this:

I used 'Wistful Fairy' for my image, but kept it as it comes without extra colouring. Just added some stickles here and there. Most of the card is digital and the elements come from Just So Scrappy, including the black swirly framey bit. My only 'real' elements are the lacey black trim, and the metallic brads in the corners. Had to go to the local craft shop and buy them on Thursday as I just couldn't find anything to match up with the card as it was. Well, that was my excuse for going anyway! LOL

Even the frame with the pearls on is a fake! Part of the digital element pack. All I did here was pop some more stickles on top. Hope it is glamourous enough, my mind wasn't really 'with it' for this one.

I'm sure you guys can do better. Why don't you join in too this week?
Pop across to the Delicious Doodles Challenge Blog and see what my lovely teamies have for you to oggle at.
You could be the lucky winner of FIVE digi's from the Delicious Doodles Store!

Right then, some challenges:

Sunday Sketch + Stamp - Sketch (loosely followed)
Truly Scrumptious - Swirls and Pearls (they're false ones though)
Totally Papercrafts - Do It With Digi's
4 Crafty Chicks - Angel/Fairy/Butterfly

Crafty Purple Frog - Magic

Hiya folks!

Time for a new theme at The Crafty Purple Frog, and this time it is 'A Touch of Magic'.

I couldn't decide which sheet to use for this theme, but plumped for one of the new releases available soon, 'Radiant Butterfly'. These sheets are so awesome, you really must give them a try!

I used the sketch from Midnight Madness for my layout on this card. Papers from Raspberry Road, bazzil card from local craft shop. I added pearls and gems, and made my own charm from some old jewellery bits and bobs, attaching it to a hand-tied bow. I also added a touch of sparkle with some stickles.

Hope you can join us, see you there peeps!

Some challenges -
OCC - Cut it out (decoupage and borders)
Simon Says - Make your own embellishment
Fab 'n' Funky - Make your own embellishment

You're My Best Friend

Hiya folks!

Welcome to a damp squib of a Saturday here in NE Scotland. No, it's not raining hard, just misty muck! LOL. All grey and dull too.

Speaking of grey - that's the tone of my card today, black, white and grey.
It's my DT piece for Sweet Pea Stampers, and this time round we have a sketch for you designed by our very own Vanessa. And here is my take:

My papers are by The Angel Company, with some added black pearlescent card, and white brads from the stash. The Butterfly made with a Spellbinders Shapeabilities, with added stickles. My image is by Ching Chou-Kuik, 'Purple Woods', and is shaded with graphite pencil with added stickles. Sentiment is computer generated and printed directly onto the dp, which is also digital.

Hope you can join us at Sweet Pea Stampers this time - don't forget we have a DT Call on at the moment, ends 1st March!

Some more challenges:
Creative Card Crew - For a Loved One
Paper Cutz - Ladybug/Bee/Butterfly (stamped or die cut)
Crafty Emmas - Cute and Cuddly (love that kitty fairy)

Mushy Valentines Stuff at Delicious Doodles

Hiya folks!

We've gone all mushy this week over at the

as our theme this week is

Valentine's Day/Love

Eeeuuuuww! Pass me the sick bucket, LOL.
Sorry, but I'm not too much of a fan of mushy, soppy stuff, so I found this weeks theme a bit of a mojo brick wall. ha-ha! Anyways, I rolled up me sleeves and got down and dirty (well, a bit inky with the smudging) with it, and came up with this here card:

I used my 'Lovers' digi-image, which is a silhouette, so no colouring! Bonus!! Printed a couple of patterned dp's off the compy and raided the stash boxes. Nothing new on this one! The fluffy feathers, bow and charm are all recycled from an old topper I made a few years back. Even the square brads and heart shaped gems are old. . . bit like how I feel today! LOL.

So there you have it! Why don't you pop over to the Delicious Doodles Challenge and oggle the Valentines delights made by my fabulous DT - see you there peeps!

Right - just a few challenges to enter this into :

Do It With Digi's - Valentine
SCSC - Valentine
Crazy4Challenges - Valentine
Allsorts - Love, Love, Love
Crafty Emmas - Red and Romance
Crafty Pad - Love is in the air
Stamps R Us - Valentines
Crafty Catz - Valentine/Love

Spotty and Stripey Stuff

Hiya folks!

Playing catchup with myself again today. Meant to have this one done and posted yesterday, but the light was so cruddy I had to wait for today to take any photos!!

This card is showcasing the Zebra and Foal image I listed in
the Delicious Doodles Shop last week.
Here is a watermarked version of it in full:

And here is the card I made, with the image inside an oval shaped frame:

Gone a bit overboard with the florals, should have made some smaller ones to go with the big one in the corner, but I thought I had enough space there. Ah well, even the pro's get it wrong sometimes! LOL

I followed a sketch from Totally Gorjuss for my layout. Zebra striped papers are from Daisie Company, spotty paper from computer stash. The white canvas looking paper is a piece of textured card with black ink smudged on it. Brads and black gems from the stash, as is the ribbon bow.

I used a Marianne flower die and a woodware punch for the flowers. Leaves are a big red punch I got from the local craft shop, can't remember the make. Petals are inked on the white ones, and smudged with silver metallic rub-on for the black.

In case anyone wonders about it, I prefer not to put sentiments on my cards. Don't know why, but they always seem to upset the balance of the card when I do it. Must be a knack, but I don't have it!! So, no sentiment here, which means also that it could be used for any occasion - dead handy!

A couple of challenges then:

Totally Gorjuss - sketch
SSDS - Spots and Stripes
Stamp Something - Digi Day
CRAFT - Roll of a Die
(used dies for flowers, plus spotty bits like spots on a die)
Top Tip Tuesday - Frame It
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
Fuzzy Wuzzy - Birthday Wishes + Animals
Critter Challenge - Animal/critter

Enough fun already - MUST get on with some 'serious' business (yuck!) Hate paperwork. . .
Catch ya later peeps - a couple of new Easter releases due in sthe Delicious Doodles Store tomorrow, so stay tuned for those!

Getting Sketchy with Smeared Ink at Delicious Doodles

Hiya folks!

Bit of a sore head this morning, too many glasses of wine yesterday. Blame the hubby - he had the day off work so we went to the pub while the kids were at school (naughty us!) Trouble is, went to the shop on the way back and got some more plonk for the evening (naughty us again!) So firgive the odd typo. . . (did you spot that one! LOL)
Righty then, this week over at
we have teamed up with the girlies at Smeared Ink, as they are sponsoring us this time. So that means there are TWO prizes up for grabs!! Yeay! We have a sketch for us all to follow:

Our sponsor gave the DT some images from their digi collection to play with, and I chose 'Shot Grumpy' to make this Valentines Card:

My papers are from Just So Scrappy, as are the frame and the iron-railing thingy in the background. I made a huge flower using punches and a gem brad from the stash, along with some vintage style brads too.

Now, little old me is first up on the hop, which I do hope you can join in with. I'm sure there will be some marvelous creations to oggle, so here is the hop order for you:

Hope you can join us folks!!

Sweet Valentine at TCPF

Hiya folks!

Thursday already? Heck, I don't know where the days keep disappearing to!

It's time for a new challenge over at The Crafty Purple Frog, and in keeping with the time of year, we are going for 'Valentine's Day/Romance'

I chose to use some pyrimage for a change - my first one (can you believe that??) in the shape of  'Night Rose', and mounted her on a black nestie-cut shape.

My papers are by Crafty Chaos Designs - just looooove these purple ones!! They go sooooo well with black!

Also used up some core-dinations bits that were in the box to make the flower (new sizzix die set) and made a dangly thing to hang from a central brad. This was mostly recycled from the daughter's broken trouser charm, then fashioned together with a few odd bits. Black lacey trim from the stash.

Hope you guys can find the time to join us at The Crafty Purple Frog this fortnight. Why not pop across and take a look at all the prizes up for grabs. Plenty of gorgeous inspiration to be had from the girls on the DT as well - you really should go see. . .

Some challenges -
Top Tip Tuesday - Girly
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Craft Us Crazy - Anything Goes

Love and Mush on the Dark Side

Hiya folks!

Wanna get all mushy and lovey-dovey??

Head over to my OTHER BLOG HERE for a Valentine's project with a 'dark and gothic' twist!

Here is a rather naff sneaky peak:

Excuse the fuzzy shot, it was done in a rush before I lost the light for the day, and I don't think I got the focus quite right! LOL

I'm Such a Slacker!!

Hiya folks!

OMG - I totally forgot to post my Sweet Pea Stampers DT project on Friday, and here we are on Tuesday!! Me BAD!!!

Well I had better get on with it then hadn't I??  (hangs head in shame)

Friday's new theme is all about 'Glitz and Glam'. I used Ching Chou-Kuik's stamp 'Purple Comfort' for this creation, teaming it up with glorious purple papers from Crafty Chaos Designs. The flower is made with punches and spare card offcuts, ribbon from the stash. The huge black rhinestone bling is part of a RAK sent by a lovely teamie at christmas - many thanks hun!!

I topped it all off with some purple stickles and a wee gem in the flower centre. Man - I need to get my s**t together, so far behind right now, and not enough hours in the day. . .!!
