I'm Ba-ack!

Hiya folks!

Missed me? No? Ah well, whatever! Warning - photo overload!!
I've been on some jollies. Hubby and the kids decided last Friday pm that they all wanted to go camping for the weekend, so off we trotted on Saturday morning. The weather was glorious to say the least. We went across to the West Coast of Scotland to LochCarron to the Wee Campsite (yes, that is its name!) Here is a piccie of LochCarron:

Got in some scenery, took sproggs up the Bull Pass a VERY windy road, which is little more than a tarmac covered dirt track with passing places, across to the village of Applecross (as seen on TV)

This is almost at the top, the road is mostlt hairpin bends and bloody scarey when you are close to the edge!!
So glad we didn't meet any large vehicles, those passing places are so tiny. . .

And here is the view at Applecross, across the sea to Skye, gorgeous!!

We did loads of walking, bar-b-que suppers, fishing, beach-combing. Then on Sunday night it all took a turn for the worst. High winds, belting rain, followed by a HUGE drop in temperature. Monday was more of the same, with snow on the mountain tops - effing freezing in the tent!!

Bit better on Tuesday, a tour round some of Skye followed by a trip to Plockton where they filmed 'Hamish Macbeth' many moons ago, and a 'Seal Watch' boat trip.

Came back to reality late Wednesday evening and spent yesterday washing, sorting bags, oh - nipped into Elgin to see a few Scottish Rugby players that turned up there for a visit, followed by a trip to the pet shop to buy a snake!!!!!!!  Yes, sorry about that peeps! The son has wanted one since forever, and hubby finally gave in and got one. It's only a foot long if that right now, a corn snake in grey with black markings that he has named 'Ash'. Quite pretty really, cute in a wierd way. . . Haven't got a photo of him yet.

I did however get a photo of the family with Richie Gray, one of the players that came to Elgin.
MAN is he BIG!!!
My hubby is a gnats whisker from six foot, and you can see how he dwarfs hubby!!!

Scarey!! Wouldn't want to piss him off would you!! LOL

OK, enough of my snaps.

Just want to know there is a new theme over on the Delicious Doodles Challenge Blog - 'All Stitched Up'. Didn't have a chance to get anything done for my contribution this week due to all this galavanting about (me bad) but I hope that won't stop you nipping across to take a look at the DT's stunning creations!
Catch ya later folks!
