A Loopy Lupin

Hiya folks!

Well, you lovely ladies tried your best to send us some of your spare sunshine - I saw a glimpse of the sun yesterday evening, but that was it!! Back to good old grey wet stuff again, LOL. But are we downhearted?? NA!! More crafting time I say. . .

So, my card for today is a bit more sunny and cheerful than our weather for sure, and features my newest image - a sketch of a Lupin, available in my Delicious Doodles shop:

I never used to like these flowers much, but they are gradually growing on me (excuse the pun there). I have three of these now, one a gorgeous pink like my card, one a sort of salmon pink, and the other yet to flower. . . would be great if it were purple. So, here is the card:

I have followed this week's sketch from Midnight Madness for the layout:

I chose these lovely pink and greens to match that gorgeous pink lupin in my garden. The papers are from Tinker & Co, and are from kits I bought last year. I scrumpled up a peice of regualr paper for the centre panel with the brads in it, and inked the edges trying for an aged feel here. Not sure if it works, but there you go. My ribbon is from the stash, the bows are hand-tied with the same ribbon. The beady blobby bits (don't know what you call them) are from a Christmas RAK.

No other challenges for this card, boo hoo! LOL. Time for a lunch break me thinks, catch ya later peeps!

Teri, this is beautiful. GORGEOUS coloring and a lovely drawing too!! I am from TEXAS and the Blue Lupine is or state flower. We call them Blue Bonnets and in the spring we have fields and fields of them and all along the roadside they are stunning!! Every TEXAN is in love with our beautiful Blue Bonnets and and literly millions of paintings and items with blue bonnets sell every year. There is a rumor that it is against the law to pick them, (not really true. TEDAN President Lyndon B. Johnson from the 60's wife Lady Bird was a big supporter of Blue Bonnets and all TEXAS wild flowers and really increased the numbers of the lovely flowers along TEXAS highways. As a single flower I don't think they are very pretty either, but in fields they are GORGEOUS!! Our Blue Bonnets have white tops and tiny, tiny deep red hearts at the center of some of the petals of the flower. I would image that almost every child in TEXAS has their picture taken in a field of Blue Bonnets at least once in their lifetime (my Grandchildren have one every year)!! The MM Design Team thanks you for playing in our challenge so faithfully.

Teri, this lupine card is absolute gorgeous. I love your dimension. I always forget about the turned paper and brad. That really added some nice texture to your card. Your papers are beautiful too!
