Hope you are all doing well today. It is Tuesday and that means a new theme at Tuesday Taggers, which is all about 'Love'. We are sponsored by The Craft Emporium this week, and they have offered up a 6x6 paper pad for the lucky winner!
Don't know about you, but I'm all Valentined out at the moment, so I decided to try something a bit different. I spotted a fabulous Tutorial at Just Magnolia for an Easter Basket, and I thought - Hey, that'll do for a project!
And I have utilised it here and made a Love Basket. This could be filled with anything lovely for a loved one - I was going to put some of my favourite Lindt choccies in it, but I ate them instead! Oooopps! Should've taken a piccy before I did so. . .!!
This was so easy to make, honestly. It looks tricky, but it isn't really. It is made out of one sheet of 12x12 stiff paper - I had a lovely filigree patterned one from several christmasses ago that needed to be used, and it was red, so fit the bill perfectly!
After cutting all the pieces, I smudged gold rub-on over the edges before assembling the basket. The handle and edgeing are made with another sheet of 12x12 from the same set, but it is a swirly gold pattern. I punched a heart border along the edges to give a lacey look, and inked the very edge in red. Then I embellished with red organza ribbon, with a thinner red and gold satin one on top. Then I used my last bit of red organza to make a bow for the front, and put another bit of thin ribbon over the handle.
There are some yummy projects over at Tuesday Taggers from the gorgeous DT, why not pop over and take a nosey, maybe even have a go yourself!!
Just so happens that the whole world and his uncle have got love or valentine or hearts on their challenges at the mo, so I'm entering a few of them too with this Basket - hope you don't mind girls!!?? So here is the list:
Delightful Sketches (and challenges) - Love
C.R.A.F.T. - Love/Valentine
Charisma Cardz - Love
Raise The Bar - Hearts
Pink Elephant - Mushy Valentine
