Vintage Lady with Fan

Hiya Folks

This card is for the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #23

The sketch just smacked of Art Deco/Vintage fan to me. So I chose to go with a Vintage feel, as I don't have much deco stuff to hand. The fan design bits and papers all came from a Joanna Sheen disc - Elegant Fans. So glad I got the chance to use it at last!! I added some lace that I had put ink on to make it more vintage, and popped some pearls on where the dots are on the sketch.

For the main image I used a gorgeous vintage lady designed by Judy from M+M Designs at the Digital Ink Co Shop. I coloured her up with my fav watercolour pencils and layered it with foam pads.

Couldn't figure out what to put where the starburst shape is, so opted for another little fan in it's place. The whole thing is stuck to some lovely pearlescant lilac card that I got from the local craft shop, and the ribbon is from the stash.

Wow, this card is so elegant. Love it. Now I have a question.... in my quest to emulate (is that a word?) you, lol..... when you layer, do you color the bottom image also or do you leave it blank?

You've got me looking at decopage papers & pre-colored clipart with a whole new eye :-)
